The Treatment Process

Teresa Myers Conservation Services confers with the owner on the treatment desired. This includes a preliminary examination of the object. The object is then transported to TMCS lab or arrangements are made for on-site work. TMCS can provide packing and shipping services.

TMCS examines the object in detail and drafts a treatment proposal which is submitted to the owner for approval. The approved treatment proposal is signed by the owner, contracting TMCS for the project.

TMCS begins the treatment as detailed in the proposal. If any modifications to the treatment proposal are necessary TMCS will contact the owner and receive written approval before proceding.

Once the treatment has been completed, the Treatment Report is filed at TMCS. A copy of the report (including photographs) is given to the owner with the returned object and invoice.
